I recently bought some new guitar pans for Linda, My wife, from Dave Berry at smartypansmusic.com the drums are very very nice and will blend with my ellie lead beautifully. speaking of the ellie pan, known as "my baby" to my high school students, it recently took a tumble when some students knocked it over.
i know that i should not have it at school. but i use it with my high school steel drum band and i just get lazy and don't always put it away. anyway i sent it away to dave berry who, in my humble opinion, is one of the most gifted tuner/builders out there. he is also one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
i have a video on the blues scale that a friend wanted me to post. maybe it will help some people. If anyonewants to suggest a video that would help address an issue, please leave a comment. I will do what i can.

Brad,
Thanks for this lesson. I really wish you had an archive of your lessons, but I understand that it takes time as well as storage space.
Excellent lesson my friend!
Alan
thanks alan,
if you go to tropicalshores.net there are more lessons on various issues.
Hi Brad,
Thanks for all your work on producing your series of sheet music and backing tracks, they really helped me get started! I'm a solo player in the Dallas area and miss the advice of Joe Perea! I know you perform live, what's your opinion on microphones for pans. My current set up gets feedback before I get enough volume. I am aware of mic/speaker placement but I think my mic has a pick-up pattern thats too large. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Charles
hi charile,
first thanks for your kind words, Im humbled to be of service.
on the mics, we rarely use a mic set up. usually only at the state fair or something and it is THEIR mics.
you may want to research the kind of mic you use. it may have something to do with it. i am sorry to say, i am not an expert on this issue.
as far as joe perea. i also really got used to him being with in 6 hours of me for tuning and the great advise he gave me. he is missed.
thanks for writing.
